Oooooh! How about somewhere like the Santa Monica Pier – only smaller, maybe? – as it would be great weather, fun things to do, great food to eat…. It’s been so long since I’ve “dated” that it is my only idea. 🙂
My date idea is going to a grocery store. They each have 5 minutes to pick out 3 items that they’ll use to make a dinner and dessert together.
An amusement park and /or a water slide park or a combination of both!!😊
A water parking wet and wild or wild waves!
A weekend at Moroni Mountain House in New Paltz. They offer massages, hikes, horse-drawn carriage rides, boating, fishing, horseback riding, amazing views, all at a secluded resort in the mountains.
A farmer’s market… food and crafts… plenty to see and try… a casual time to get to know one another.
A basketball game, followed by hot chocolate with vanilla ice cream. FYI, this was my fun and flirty first date with my husband!
dockside restaurant at a marina with fabulous views
Love your books. Thank you for the chance
Go to an outdoor, play, concert or movie. Go antique/junk shopping. Take a train ride to a new city and explore.
How about on a ski slope in Colorado…or Utah…or Montana, followed by relaxing in front of a fireplace 😊
A sunset cruise on a sailboat while having a romantic
candle light dinner for two.
go to a carnival
The Renaissance Festival would be an awesome place to take a date 🙂
Small towns have a lot of charm. How about a (fruit or veggie of your choice) festival complete with live music, some rides, and funnel cake. If you want a little more ritz, take them to an art walk featuring art from school students, amateurs, and local professionals. Maybe they’ll even make something together.
How about a corn maze would be fun and different place to go.
A vineyard for a wine and cheese tasting, followed by dinner or a dinner boat on a lake where there is a moonlight cruise.
Having a walk followed by a picnic in a park.
The first date I had with my husband was that we had dinner at an Italion restaurant, then went to downtown Chicago and walked around Navy Pier and then when it got dark the lights on the pier went dark and fireworks started shooting off. I think that was the start of the best date ever. We were married for 20 years but sadly I lost him to Stage 4 Kidney Cancer almost 3 years ago. I think of him all the time and I miss him every minute of every day. Thanks for this amazing chance the book look terrific.
SKating Rink. Lots of laughs trying not to fall or trip and holding on to each other.
A different kind of date would be at one of their work places after closing with a romantic dinner set up. Or a trip kayaking down a river and stopping on a sanded to have a picnic lunch or even make it a weekend trip down the river or on a lake and camping under the stars.
bumper cars or paintball would be interesting and fun
An alpine slide or gondola ride in some awesome mountains like Glacier National Park!
Fun and flirty would definitely be at the beach. At sunset.
San Francisco on the wharf then down to the ocean
How about at a high school or college reunion? There are SO many possibilities!
I think of a hot, flirty date such as a stroll on the beach, a hike in the mountains, or a chat over a very nice dinner
How about around Vail, Colorado…it is beautiful there year round…you can find many fine restaurants, several places to visit…if the snow is out…you could go skiing…then sit around a warm fire with hot chocolate or some fine wine.
Mini golf. Great setting for a first date and flirting and having some fun competition.
Or another idea would be going to an observatory to watch the stars, and then going star gazing together on a roof, bed of a truck.
At a football game cheering on opposite teams.
A hayride, campfire and fall festival! Sounds like good, cozy cuddling up weather! Can you tell I’m ready for Fall?

For those with dogs (or willing to even pretend to be interested in them), the local dog park is a safe, neutral location.
